Turning a page…

There are never excuses for the failure to update. I have been bad in that regard. I find myself currently in a holding pattern due to work. While I feel I have secured my job at Best Buy with my performance, I am unsure if anybody will be kept on after the season. There are many factors at work all beyond my control.

Once I know what the situation is with work going forward (this will be after the holidays), I will know what and how things will change. There are different scenarios available based on how things turn out.

As to what brings me to the site today, I must sadly announce the passing of one of our dogs this evening. Vienna was, for the most part, the best behaved dog we had. Even though it has been only two years since we adopted her, she has been a great pet. These past couple of months have been difficult for us since we have known she is dying but she has rarely shown any difficulties before today.

The mess and clean-ups will not be missed; however, she greatly will be.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s that time of year for Americans to gather with family and recollect what we are thankful for (or at least attempt to while gorging on Turkey, potatoes and gravy, and watching football - now up to three games today!).

For me, I know I’m thankful for my wife and our families. They have been really supportive.

I’m also thankful for my new job. It could not have come at a better time.

Speaking of work, that is why nothing has happened of late. I always forget what the first week does to me at a new job. It also helps that I got a bunch of hours this week over what I was originally scheduled.

At this point I don’t know if I will have an image posted Tuesday (this is going to be a very busy weekend for me - holiday, work, work, and well, more work), but I will at least make a post to catch up. My schedule at Best Buy is set, regular and full (it looks like I will now be the regular morning stock person), for next week, so I should be able to dig in to this mound of work on my desk.

Going forward I should be able to get back on track (especially if they keep my schedule like the one next week). The new style will take a bunch of work, and will open a ton of new doors, but will take a few weeks before it is ready. More on this next week.

Cheers!

The Scoop

First of all, this will be one of the few times I will bypass a scheduled day for the comic to come out. I do apologize for the absence.

Now, as for what is actually going on, there are a few things.

1) I started work at Best Buy today. While this will take up a bit of my time, I am hoping that it will have little impact on the comic (todays absence is not due to my work at Best Buy).

2) I believe I have settled on the style, or look, I would like to use. Only issue is it will take a little bit to work out and get everything up and running. I am unsure how long this process will take, but I’m guessing at least a couple of weeks.

All that being said, I will start releasing “teasers” on the regularly scheduled days (Tuesdays and Fridays) until the comic comes back up. The plan is to “restart” the comic (so to speak, though the content will pretty much match what is already there since the story has not changed, just the look) with the new look. Never fear though, I plan on releasing the new pages once a day, or every other day, until the comic is back up to it’s current place and then we will proceed as normal.

More is coming soon.

Cheers!
